The first Amazon review

“Nothing Ruins Youth Sports Like Adults” just got it’s first review, and it was a great one. Very grateful for anyone who takes the time to read - and share with others.

Stories like these are the only way to identify just how common this problem is so we can start addressing it.

Here’s the Amazon review from Feb 5, 2024:

“This turned out to be a great weekend read for me! It was fast paced and took numerous unpredictable turns. In the beginning, I had trouble keeping the characters organized in my mind, but the players list on page six was there to help. I found the writing instantly engaging and the story unfortunately relatable as an educator, an administrator, and a parent of a First Team All-State athlete.

There is much to learn here, red flags to note and patterns to remember. Seasoned educators and coaches will nod their heads in solidarity, having experienced many of the personalities in the book. New teachers and coaches will, hopefully, pick up on strategies they can use to sidestep some of these painful situations. Administrators should learn that their timely support and communication is absolutely essential.

What makes this story different is how far this situation went... unchecked.

I highly recommend this book and have happily purchased another to pass along.”
